Dr. Derrick Gay is a globally recognized Belonging and Intercultural Strategist who equips schools and organizations to cultivate inclusive cultures grounded in dignity, respect, and belonging. Fluent in five languages, he has partnered with more than 800 organizations worldwide, including over 500 schools, drawing on research and practitioner experience across more than 50 countries.
His work spans the full spectrum of education, from early childhood through higher education and leadership development. Over the past ten years, he has served as a senior advisor to Sesame Street, contributing to content and curriculum shaped by belonging and inclusive storytelling.
In the international school world, Dr. Gay has served as a teacher, senior administrator, and global strategist, delivering keynote addresses for EARCOS, NESA, AAIE, AMISA, Tri-Association, EduLead, the HKIS Early Childhood Conference, and ISAT.
